LeadGend Marketing is a trade name of Leadgend LLC, a Minnesota limited liability company based in Hamel, Minnesota. This page explains what we collect when you visit leadgendmarketing.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
The short version. We collect what you choose to send us in a form, a booking or an email, plus ordinary website analytics. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers. To see what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email marina@leadgendmarketing.com.
What we collect
Information you give us
Our contact form asks for your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number, the topic you select, and whatever you write in the message box. If you book a call, your name, email address and the time you pick are handled by Calendly, the scheduling service we use. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence so we can follow up.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people actually read. It records the pages you view, roughly how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, the site or ad that sent you here, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address — city level, not a street address. It stores a cookie so that a return visit can be recognised as the same browser. We do not use it to work out who you are by name.
Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs — IP address, time of the request, the page requested and your browser's user agent — for security and troubleshooting.
This website does not run advertising or remarketing pixels.
Client report pages
Reporting pages we build for clients sit behind a sign-in and are not indexed by search engines. They are only reachable by the client we gave the link and password to.
Why we collect it
- To answer your question and, if you want one, to schedule a call.
- To send you the proposal, report or other material you asked for.
- To understand which pages and which marketing channels are working, so we can improve the site.
- To keep the site and its forms secure and working.
- To meet our own record-keeping, tax and legal obligations.
We do not send marketing email to people who only filled in the contact form unless they asked us to. If we ever do send a newsletter, every message will carry an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses:
- Google Analytics cookies (names beginning
_ga) — to tell repeat visits apart from new ones and to measure traffic. - Calendly cookies — set only on our contact page, when the booking calendar loads, so your booking works.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. To opt out of Google Analytics everywhere, Google publishes a browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information and we do not trade it. We do use a small number of companies to run the business, and your information passes through them:
- Netlify — hosts this website and delivers form submissions.
- Google — Google Analytics for site statistics, and Google Workspace for our email.
- Calendly — booking and scheduling.
We will also disclose information if the law requires it, or if we need to to protect our rights or someone's safety.
If you are a client
When you hire us, you may give us access to accounts you own — Google Ads, Meta, Google Analytics, your website, your CRM. We use that access only to do the work you hired us for. What we may do with the data in those accounts, and what happens to it when the engagement ends, is set out in your service agreement, not on this page.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries, proposals and client correspondence for as long as we have a relationship with you and afterwards for as long as we need the records — or until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics. Server logs are kept for a short period by our host.
Your choices
Email marina@leadgendmarketing.com and we will, free of charge:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it, unless we are required to keep it;
- stop contacting you.
Residents of California and of other states with privacy laws have these rights by statute, including the right not to be treated differently for exercising them. Use the same address and tell us which state you live in.
Children
This site is for business owners. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Other websites
Our pages link to other places — Instagram, Facebook, our clients' websites, the booking calendar. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site and their privacy policy applies, not ours.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable measures to protect what you send us. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send us passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details through the contact form.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
